Day‑to‑day responsibilities centre on acute emergency nursing: triage and prioritizing critically ill patients, responding to rapid changes and emergency situations, administering IV vasopressors, participating in ambulance transfers, and completing required advanced critical care competencies annually. The role may be reassigned to other units as needed and requires strict confidentiality.
Minimum qualifications include active NANB registration, current BCLS, and at least two years of recent emergency or equivalent acute care experience (or completion of a Critical Care Course). Candidates must demonstrate competence in ACLS, ENPC, TNCC, and 12‑lead ECG interpretation by certification or testing, plus strong assessment, communication and team skills.
